Well, what started out as a Valentine's Card project actually turned into a note card box. I was going to make little Valentine's notes to put inside, but then realized that giving this to someone on Valentine's Day would not be too useful to them, so I made the cards more generic so they can be used during any time of the year. Here's a photo of the finished box with the cards. I only have 4 cards finished, but the box will actually hold at least two more, even with the envelopes added.
I found the directions for the box on Splitcoast Stampers under the tutorials for a 3x3 Note Card Box by Laurie Schmidlin. I changed a few things on my box, but followed her measurements and scoring instructions. You can find the tutorial here. She has a link to instruction on how to make a scalloped edge with a corner rounder punch (which I did try), but decided it was easier to use my Fiskars edge punch instead.
I pulled out the "Oh Dear! (Outline)" stamp set with used only the two deer images. I left the cards blank so they can be used for any occasion. I added some paper flowers and adhesive gems for a little sparkle. Very simple, quick and easy.
I like to cut around the deer image to place on my cards, but this does take some extra time. If you are not inclined to take the time to trim around the images, then a simple circle or oval cut will work just as well.

Here's the measurement's for the envelope: Take a 5" square piece of paper (paper is easier to fold, cardstock can be too thick). Measure 2-3/8" from each corner toward the center of each side and make a mark (you should end up with a 1/4" space between the two marks on the center of each side). Draw with a pencil or use a score tool to make lines from the marks so that a "V" is created on each side. Trim the "V" from the paper, fold three sides up and glue. These measurements should make the perfect size envelope for your 3" card.
Be sure to show us any Valentine's cards (or any cards) that you have made with Pink Persimmon stamps! We love to see what you are making.
