Magnet Board Frame

Tanis Giesbrecht created this magnet board using a frame made out of barn board that she painted a nice deep black color.  She adhered a sheet of Scenic Route paper (Worn Lined Background) to a piece of metal sheeting and tacked it on to the back side.  Any type of frame will work for this project, just remove the glass and backing and cut a piece of metal sheeting to fit inside the frame. 

She used the Oh Dear Silhouette set for the tree and the flower image under the glass magnets, then added two birds from the Banner Set in the upper right corner.  Her title "home is best" was made with the Soda Pop Alpha letter stamp set.

The black patterned paper covering the key and word frame is from October Afternoon's Hometown Collection.  The flourishes, word frame and key are from Tim Holtz's plain grungboard pack.  Tanis painted the flourishes and then used her husband's framing hammer to distress it.

The glass pebbles are available at most craft supply stores.  Adhere your stamped image with a glue that will dry clear and attached a small round magnet to the back.

Spring Fever Winner - Rebecca

Thanks so much to everyone who played along with us.  We loved all the spring inspired creations that you shared.  We entered everyone's name into a spreadsheet in order of entry, but then gave you extra entries if you posted on your blog about our challenge.  We used the Random Number Generator to choose a winner and Rebecca of Casual Friday Designs is our winner of the Pink Persimmon Stamp Sets.

Spring Fever Challenge

Spring is blooming all over here in California.  I know it is only the beginning of March, but the mustard flowers are in complete bloom, the daffodils are coming up, the vineyards are budding and we have Spring Fever!  Are you ready to join us for a Spring Inspired Challenge?
