Lisa Pace used our Carnival Alpha in one of her online classes back in 2008 and really introduced her readers to Pink Persimmon stamps. (If you haven't taken one of Lisa's classes, they are a lot of fun. You can find more info at her Blog here.) When she told us that she used Little Red Wagon on one of the projects for her new book, we were thrilled! That was probably over a year ago! We found out that it takes a LONG time for a book to come to print. It is finally here, and Lisa showcased her book and a fun project at her Workshop at CHA. Judi and I were in the front row, excited to finally meet Lisa in person and learn some fun techniques.
Lisa Pace has been doing "vintage" long before it became the trend that it is today. Her book is really all about techniques for embellishments, but each mini tutorial is part of a beautiful project that she shares with her readers. The eye candy in this book is amazing! It is truly a high quality book and will give you lots of great ideas and techniques. (p.s. Pink Persimmon's girl from Little Red Wagon is on page 66!)
Lisa had a banner project in her CHA workshop using some Jenni Bowlin papers and Maya Road products that really turned out cute.
I can't wait to try more of the techniques in the book. Just be forewarned - if you start reading Lisa's book, you'll be tempted to add velvet flowers and Stickle's glitter to all your projects!
We of course took a picture with Lisa, but be kind, this was taken at 7AM (yes, her class was at 7am before the show floor opened up at 9am). Everyone was a bit sleepy, but it was completely worth getting up early for the class!
You can get an autographed copy of the book at Lisa's Blog, and you can order directly from Amazon as well. I promise that you will LOVE this new book and it will become something that you refer back to often.
