The month of March brings St. Patrick's day, but I am surrounded by all things Irish year round. My neighbor and best friend is from Sligo, Ireland, so I am always amused by her Irish wit, humor and very funny sayings. We try to make regular times to have a "bit of tea" together. (She does the real thing, brewing up wonderful Irish tea in one of her beautiful tea pots). My daughter has been learning Irish dancing for over 2 years now and is really enjoying herself as she begins the competitions. Irish dance competitions are a bit like Ice Skating, mostly precision and very structured dancing steps, with a bit of glitz & glam thrown in with the curly hair and dresses.
With a nod to the Irish, we have a few cards for you:
Clover Note by Kelly Schirmer. Kelly used the Flower Greeting set with her Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder to create the embossing on the flowers. Add some Stardust Stickles on the flowers and a piece of Licorice Divine Twine on the stem. Very sweet.
You're a Jewel, by Kristie Larsen. Love the black & white theme of the card and while this card is not necessarily Irish, just imagine "Ahh, You're a Jewel" said in your best Irish accent. (Something my friend would definitely say).
And we can't forget a bit of Irish Luck! This card is by Samantha Sibbet. Our little Scottie Dog makes his appearance once again (oops, our little doggy is Scottish!?!). For today he is an honorary Irish pup.
My favorite Irish Blessing:
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

Irish Scottie doggie, funny and I never even thought of that. Love the green cards by the girls.

That black and cream on the second card and that adorable green dot coat for the dog are great ideas. LOVE all of these cards.
