Giveaway Alert: Read to the bottom for a chance to win the Large Banner Stamp!!
I have been having lots of fun using the Large Banner Stamp on my layouts. It's perfect for creating titles on a page. I wanted to show you two methods for cutting out the banner that I use most often: the fussy method, or the quick method.
On this title I took the time to cut out each banner image exactly. Hint: Do all your stamping first, you don't want to spend time cutting out a banner, just to make a mistake on the letter stamp and have to toss it. I like doing the "fussy cutting" for stamp images. I bring my pile of stamp images to the living room and do this while I watch TV with the kids. I find it relaxing, but you might find it tedious.
There is faster way to cut out the stamp images that gives a similar effect. I made this two page layout of the kids coloring Easter Eggs.
Instead of cutting each image with scissors, I used my decorative scissors with the pinking edge. The stamp and cutting edge don't match up exactly, but it gives the same overall feel of the banner edges.
What tricks do you have to speed up the cutting of your stamp images? Are you a "fussy" cutter, or do you want quick and easy? Do you use dies to cut your stamps? Do you only stamp so you don't have to cut your images? Let us know!
Post a comment sharing your favorite method for cutting out your stamp images and we'll do a random giveaway for the Large Banner Set to one of our commentors on Feb. 4th.

I actually enjoy fussy cutting. Even tiny images. I also like using dies that match images but prefer to cut using tiny scissors.

Dies are a time saver but they can be expensive. I know a company that offers SVG files for their stamps. Personally I would take the time to cut something out if that's where my creativity has taken me.
Awesome project!

I'd love to be able to cut them out with my cutter but if not I'll cut with scissors.
Thanks for the chance to win.

I would love a chance to win these...I would use a pair of scissors, because I am not sure what else I would use...I loved reading everyone's ideas.

Your layouts are outstanding! so fun and creative. I'd love to win this! I try to cut most of my things with a die but I do sometimes just cut the image and sometimes cut it several time to decoupage.

I'm a fussy cutter. I keep all things to cut out in a tuperware pie saver that has a snap on lid with my scissors. Makes it easy for spending time with others and keeping busy at the same time. LOL

I'm a fussy cutter and it's a disease for which I have not found a cure! I always like the results when I do it, so that's what keeps me going. OH, and cuticle scissors are my tool of choice for those tiny fussy area's.

Darcy these layouts are awesome! I love me some fussy cutting...I always have trouble lining up stamps on dies anyways!

I try to use my dies, but, if I am unsuccessful, scissors may be my tool of choice.

I would prefect using a die, but If I have to I will cut. I'm just not very good at fussy cutting, I don't have a steady hand. I keep trying though.
