Giveaway Alert: Read to the bottom for a chance to win the Large Banner Stamp!!
I have been having lots of fun using the Large Banner Stamp on my layouts. It's perfect for creating titles on a page. I wanted to show you two methods for cutting out the banner that I use most often: the fussy method, or the quick method.
On this title I took the time to cut out each banner image exactly. Hint: Do all your stamping first, you don't want to spend time cutting out a banner, just to make a mistake on the letter stamp and have to toss it. I like doing the "fussy cutting" for stamp images. I bring my pile of stamp images to the living room and do this while I watch TV with the kids. I find it relaxing, but you might find it tedious.
There is faster way to cut out the stamp images that gives a similar effect. I made this two page layout of the kids coloring Easter Eggs.
Instead of cutting each image with scissors, I used my decorative scissors with the pinking edge. The stamp and cutting edge don't match up exactly, but it gives the same overall feel of the banner edges.
What tricks do you have to speed up the cutting of your stamp images? Are you a "fussy" cutter, or do you want quick and easy? Do you use dies to cut your stamps? Do you only stamp so you don't have to cut your images? Let us know!
Post a comment sharing your favorite method for cutting out your stamp images and we'll do a random giveaway for the Large Banner Set to one of our commentors on Feb. 4th.
