Dr. Warner's Corset ATC card

This is what happens when you hand vintage stamps to a talented artist....

Wendy Vecchi is a good friend of Lisa's and when she recieved her set of stamps, she took some time to create this beautiful ATC for Lisa.  The corset is stamped twice and layered, which looks amazing.  There are tons of details that went into making this, but you don't need to hear it from me... head on over to Wendy's blog and read about how she made this beautiful artist trading card. She'll share the secret of how she made those little raised dots on the trim of the corset! 

Wendy is a talented artist and product designer herself (with her own line of stamps called Studio 490) and is also Ranger's Senior Educator.  We can't wait to see what else she makes with the new Antiquated Collection stamps.

Antiquated Collection stamps now available

We are so excited to finally show you Pink Persimmon's latest release:  The Antiquated Collection by Lisa M. Pace. 

These stamps are now available in the Pink Persimmon online store.  We have had very creative designers working with the stamp sets.  Here are just a few designs, you can see a few more at our special Antiquated Collection Gallery!  We'll be sharing new project samples here on our blog all week.

We are so excited to finally announce our new stamp collection:

We have been working with Lisa Pace (www.lisapace.com), a very talented mixed-media and scrapbooking artist to create this new vintage inspired stamp collection.  For those of you who know Lisa, this will be  something that is true to her style.  She is just bursting at the seams with excitement to share these new stamps with her friends and fellow crafters.  Lisa hand selected her favorite images and then Judi crafted them into adorable stamp sets that will be a must-have for all you vintage-lovers out there!

Nancy Grant made this cute little hello card, using some simple scalloped edge strips and some glitter alphas.  The little boy and girl are from our Little Red Wagon set.  I love that she took their face images and put them together.  Looks like they are good friends. 

Life is short and in our busy lives we need to take the time to connect with friends.  Nancy lost someone very special to her this last week, and we want to send her hugs and prayers.  Send someone a card today.  Call an old friend that you haven't talked with in a while. Just say hello.

Mountain Girls

Laura Achilles created this adorable layout about her "mountain girls" and shows how sometimes a stamp can actually add to the story.  From Laura:  "I loved adding the deer stamp to my layout.  I imagined that there was truly a deer just hanging out just outside the range of the photo.  Probably not, but he is on my layout!" 

Have you started making your holiday cards?

Do you make handmade Holiday cards?  If you do, then you are probably beginning to gather your supplies, and some of you have probably already started!  Lindsay Weirich made this cute card below that looks complicated, but is actually pretty easy to make. 

Lindsay first stamped the holly wreath image from Holly & Mistletoe set.  Then Lindsay masked the outside of circle of the wreath and used the Oh Dear! stamp sets, stamping the outline first, then using the silhouette stamp to create the inside color for the deer.  You didn't know that you could do that?  These two sets line up perfectly to make it easy to add color to the inside of the outline deer, but still keeping the outline image.  The decorative corners are from a Cuttlebug corner die and the ribbon has the sentiment already printed. 

The addition of a sparkly rhinestone jewel on the end of the deer's nose makes the perfect Rudolf for the card!  What are your secrets for making lots of cards at once?  Assembly line?  Pre-made embellishments?  Share in the comments, we'd love to know!

 

Using small stamp images on your layout

Laura Achilles made this layout about her daughter.  She loves to add stamping to her layouts, but sometimes a small addition is just right.  Laura said  "Stamping on layouts doesn’t always have to be big!  Sometimes a smaller subtle use of stamps helps draw the eye to the subject in the photo."  

Laura used the small hand icons from Little Cuties stamp set to highlight her photos. A simple and inexpensive accent that you can use over and over again.  Stamp a whole sheet of the icons and then keep them on hand while you scrap, cutting out the individual image as you need them.

Who could resist this adorable little doggie asking for a playdate?  Nancy Grant made this super sweet and simple card that is great for any occasion.  Nancy used the negative part of her scalloped edge as a new edge for this card.  (See this post here).  Using both edges is a bonus when punching or cutting out decorative trim.
